Boundary Music Educators Association

The Boundary Music Educators Association was formed in 1991 with about eight teachers, although some had been teaching here in the Boundary since 1966. The Royal Conservatory Music Exam Centre was granted to the Association in 1985 for practical and all theory exam students. At present there are not enough students for the practical exams but theory exams are sent in by mail.

In 1991 we were active in purchasing a community Yamaha Grand Piano which is use by many groups. We also organize music festivals in Grand Forks. The teachers all have their own recitals and students also perform for the Arts Council Arts Week activities.
